Is it OK to make art challenging?

I think art that makes you uncomfortable is useful, often to get a message across. The reason I pose this question here is because I posted a couple of my works on Facebook and this violated their terms and conditions. One was the Quality Control print which is available on my site (you can search for it). I know this can be viewed as pornography, but it was an old 1930s photograph that I went to town on and added various embellishments. I did not realise this would be so controversial, but clearly it was. The other one which I think has caused them problems is of an old 1930s/40s photograph framed as a Polaroid picture (Bella & Donna shown here) showing two girls on inflatables in a river. The problem is, I placed a dead body face down in the water close to them. I don't like art being censored, and I think anything goes, pretty much. I would be very interested to hear the views of others to see if I am out of line here.
